I will admit… I might have been living vicariously through Markie on Saturday. I am beyond excited that she’s finally married. I love her to death. Markie and Josh were so wrapped up in each other that you couldn’t help but smile. She looked positively exquisite in her wedding gown. I was also so excited to meet Vanessa McKellar, the videographer who shot Markie’s wedding and will also be shooting mine. The videos on her website will bring tears to your eyes. Speaking of, I teared up a couple times at Markie’s wedding… when I left the dressing room to set up in the chapel and when Markie choked on her words towards the end of the ceremony. Looking through her photos makes me smile! She got married at the wonderful Northeast Wedding Chapel in Hurst. Here are some of my favorites from her special day.

This was a really special moment. I can’t remember the words Markie’s grandmother said because I was getting choked up. She pinned a guardian angel on her dress and said the angel would be with her wherever she went. It was a really special moment.
Vanessa asked Markie to say something to Joshua before the ceremony. Again, I’m holding back tears at this point. She immediately clasped her hands in front of her and was speechless. Another sweet moment.
Vanessa told me she loved it when little girls stared at the bride in awe. I never thought of it that way before but I loved it.
Even with all the chaos of their wedding, Markie and Josh still thought of their closest friends, Crystal and Gabe. They did not get a first dance at their own wedding so Markie and Josh thought it would be nice to give it to them at their own wedding. They danced to Time of Your Life by Green Day.
And there was MUCH dancing!
